There are many theories as to why we sometime don‘t feel good or are in a bad mood. One of them is the fact that feeling bad is merely a way that our bodies communicate to us that a physical change has taken place within our bodies.

If you’ve had a really bad headache before, a stomach ache, or have felt tired, I’m sure that you were probably in a bad mood as result of it. The same thing happens when you binge eat. I’m sure if you have ate too much before then you are familiar with the feeling of being tired and lazy as a result. When things like this happen it is your mood changing due to the direct feedback between your body and mind.

With that being said, in today’s article I will be giving you 4 steps on how to get out of a bad mood and feel good all of the time.

1. Eat Well

Eating well is perhaps one of the most important factors when it comes to getting out of a bad mood and feeling good. When you are consistently eating junk food, and foods low in nutrients, your body will respond by sending you triggers in the form of laziness, tiredness, and irritability.

On the contrary, when you feed your body healthy foods, you will begin to feel more energized, alive, and passionate about life day to day and you won‘t be in a bad mood as often.

2. Pay Attention to the Signs Your Body Gives You

This is something that I was really guilty of. When your body is trying to tell you something, it is imperative to listen. I used to not listen to my body. Whenever I would begin to feel tired and sleepy or just in an overall bad mood, I would typically ignore those feelings continue to work through them because I felt that my work was more important and I needed to get stuff done.

But what I didn’t realize is that by not going to sleep, I was actually slowing down my production in the long run. How? Because when you don’t sleep and try to work while you are tired, your level of productivity will plummet.

You may feel good because you are “up” and doing things, but in reality you will not be operating at an optimum level. You’ll be operating a lower level and thus producing sub par work that will limit your success in the long run. So the moral of the story is, listen to your body. If your tired, sleep. If your hungry, eat. If you need a break, take a break! This is a great way to get out of a bad mood.

3. Sleep Well

This was touched on a bit in step number two but I will touch upon it more here. Sleep is super crucial to being successful and being in a good mood. I promise you, if you are not getting enough sleep your business and personal life will suffer tremendously.

Interestingly enough many people will never tell you this, in fact most tell you that you have to endure long grueling hours of no sleep in order to be successful. This couldn’t be further from the truth.

The truth is that by actually getting more sleep and working less, your work and relationships will improve because the time spent on them will be of a higher quality. Your senses will be better, you will be in a better mood, and you’ll also be sharper and faster. All of these combined will lead to you ultimately having a lot more success in the long run. So with that being said, get sleep!

4. Exercise Regularly

Exercise is one of the best ways to amplify your mood. When you exercise it gets your blood flowing which really helps to elevate your mood immediately and put you in a good mood. Studies have shown that regular exercise can alleviate depression, ADHD, anxiety, and much much more!

Also, think about how good it would feel to know that your body is looking good. Imagine having six pack abs, a rock hard chest, and some solid legs. I’m sure you will feel a lot more confident walking into a room if your body looks like that as opposed to being fat and out of shape.

Exercise is one of those things that can very quickly improve your mood and help you to feel good instantly. Exercise on a regular basis and watch your mood improve and your success, skyrocket!

Mindset: 4 Ways To Overcome Negativity

Sometimes in life we can feel overwhelmed by the obstacles we may face in life. When you are in the pursuit of a goal you will be bound to face a hurdle at one point or another. When you do encounter a hurdle it is a crucial time because you either have the choice to jump the hurdle or give up. The only way to make this process easy is to change your mindset. Instead of focusing on factors that are outside of your control, focus on the things that you can control. It is imperative to do this if you want to achieve your goals.

Here are 4 ways to overcome negative thinking:

1. Stop Thinking About The Past and Future

If you are putting your focus on the the past or the future and having thoughts to yourself such as “if I did this then that would have happened,” then you are doing yourself a huge disservice.

It’s easy to get caught up in this thinking when we feel stuck or are frustrated that things do not seem to be panning out in our favor. However, this mode of thinking is simply daydreaming and is a pure waste of time.

Since you can’t control elements in the past or future, instead learn to focus on the the thing you can control. If you encounter something that is outside of your control, then put all of your time and effort into the things that you can control. When you effectively do this, you will find yourself making progress to your goals and overcoming barriers.

2. Be Present in The Moment

Too often it is easy to get caught up worrying about things that have not happened and getting caught up in overthinking.

Sometimes when we have big goals we can easily get sidetracked by focusing on the next big step instead of the first one. When you have a plan to accomplish a goal, it’s imperative to focus on each individual step at a time. If your focus on the second step only, you may jeopardize your first step because you were overlooking it.

Also, when you are not present in the moment you may miss out on a new opportunity that manifests itself into your life. So remember to always be Present in the moment and focus on one step at a time — take baby steps.

3. Learn To Recognize Opportunities

Sometimes if you are allowing negative thoughts to dwell in your mind you will be prone to overlooking new opportunities that are presenting themselves right before you.

Many times during the pursuit of your goal you will face challenges, and when you do it is easy to get sidetracked by how difficult the challenge is or feel sorry for yourself for even having encountering it in the first place. What many people chose to do is give up.

But the truth is, in most cases the obstacle placed before you is a blessing in disguise. It can be an opportunity for you to do something differently or an opportunity to become better or stronger. However, if your already in a negative mind state then you will most likely not be able to see things from this perspective.

Always keep your eyes open for new opportunities, you NEVER know when one will come or what form it will present itself in.

4. Be Relentless

When you decide to pursue something, remind yourself before hand that rejection is imminent and that you will hear the word “no” hundreds if not thousands of times before hearing a “yes.”

Create daily reminders for yourself that when you fall short you will analyze why and work smarter and harder so that it won’t happen again. Remember that failure and rejection only makes you stronger.

In today’s article, I will discuss limiting beliefs. I will explain what a limiting belief is and give 5 steps to overcome them.

If you could overcome your limiting beliefs you would be able to do anything that you want to. Most people don’t accomplish their goals because they have some sort of limiting belief about themselves. They always have an excuse as to why something can’t get done — ultimately these excuses turn into one drawn out story that we tell ourselves that end up becoming our limiting beliefs.

The good news is that limiting beliefs CAN be overcome. There is a way to eliminate your limiting beliefs and once you can do that the sky is the limit!

What are limiting beliefs?

Limiting beliefs are the thoughts and stories that we tell ourselves on a daily basis about our current circumstances in life, many times we may not even realize that we have these beliefs because they are in our subconscious. Limiting beliefs are the reasons why we cannot do something or some sort of a generalization about people or world-views as a whole. Ultimately limiting beliefs have to do with protecting our perceived self identity and limit us from reaching our full potential.

Here are the 5 steps to overcoming a limiting belief.

1. Identify Your Limiting Belief

The first step is to discover what your limiting beliefs are. The beliefs usually can be identified by the term I am.

Here is an example:

Limiting Belief: “I am never capable of being athletic.”

This is an example of a limiting belief because by saying that to yourself over and over again, you have no chance at ever becoming athletic. However, if you instead say to yourself “I can become as athletic as I want by going to the gym and putting in effort consistently,” this puts a completely different perspective on things and gives you a realistic chance at becoming athletic.

Exercise #1: take a moment and identify a limiting belief in your life.

2. Chose A New Belief That You Would Like To Have

Instead of the old and negative limiting belief you used to tell yourself. Now it’s time to reframe it into a new and positive belief that will empower you instead of limiting you.

Here’s an example:

Old limiting belief: “I’ll never be successful in life.”

New Empowering Belief: “I am in control of the things I do and I can be as successful as I want in life.”

Exercise #2: Chose a new belief to replace your old limiting belief.

3. Eliminate the Emotional Attachment to Your Limiting Belief

Now that you know what your limiting belief is just take some time to think about and identify the emotional experience that gave you that belief. Oftentimes, our limiting beliefs exist because we experienced something bad in the past and they protect us from having to experience these negative feelings again.

Here is an example:

Limiting Belief: “I’ll never have a girlfriend because girls don’t like me.”

Emotional Attachment: “I got rejected by a girl in the past and it hurt me.”

Payoff: Not having to talk to girls and never having to feel painful rejection ever again.”

In the above example the limiting belief was created in the believer’s life when they experienced rejection from a girl in the past. By experiencing rejection from that ONE girl, the believer decided to associate that pain with all girls in the future. By not talking to any girls and telling themselves that no girls will ever like them, the limiting belief serves as a protection to the believer.

Many times, if you look hard enough, your limiting beliefs were created by a negative experience you had in your life. There is most likely some benefit and identity protection that you are receiving from the belief.

Exercise #3: Identify your emotional connection to the limiting belief and decide that it is not worth holding on to anymore.

4. Re-Frame Your Emotional Attachment

Now that you have identified the emotional attachment to your limiting beliefs and have decided to let it go, it is to re-frame it.

Here is an example:

Emotional Attachment: “I got rejected by a girl in the past and it hurt me.”

Re-Framed Version: “I tried to talk to a girl in the past but we weren’t a good fit for each other and she wasn’t my type. Oh well, there are plenty of other fish in the sea!

See the difference? By doing this you completely change your perspective and shatter every emotional attachment to any limiting belief you have.

Exercise #4: Re-Frame the emotional attachment that you have to your limiting belief in a way that is positive and beneficial to you.

5. Justify Your New Belief

Now that you have changed your limiting belief into an empowering belief it is time to find reasons to validate your new belief.

For example:

New Empowering Belief: “I am in control of the things I do and I can be as successful as I want to be in life.”

Justification: When I chose to study for my exams I got good grades and when I chose to do push-ups everyday I got into great shape and I looked amazing. If I just apply the same effort to other areas in my life like I already have, I can do anything!

Huge difference here. When we have limiting beliefs our minds become accustomed to noticing the negative things in order to confirm the belief instead of noticing the positive things that will disprove it. But you can use this to your advantage by instead focusing your mind on the good things that will prove why your justification is true.

Exercise #5: Find as much evidence as you can to support your new belief.

Conclusion

Limiting beliefs are simply a way to preserve our self identities. Anybody can overcome limiting beliefs by learning to dissociate the belief from their identity, disproving it, and replacing it with an empowering belief instead. 1. Commit to Action

The first step that you must take in order to be unstoppable and successful is to commit to taking action. When you truly make a commitment to something, your mind shift completely changes and you instantly move from thought into action. You start to move with a sense of purpose.

When you are truly committed to something you will become unstoppable. When you are committed to something and you face an obstacle you will be able to overcome that obstacle because you are truly committed. Committed people don’t make excuses and refuse to quit.

Become truly committed to your dreams and you will be unstoppable.

2. Have Courage

When you are in the relentless pursuit of your goals you may come across several people who don’t believe in you and that tell you that you are crazy for wanting to pursue these goals. When people see someone doing something that is outside of the norm or doing something that they don’t believe is possible because they gave up, they will try to encourage you to stop. People may gossip about you, reject you, and even make fun of you. These are just some of the challenges you may face.

When Martin Luther King wanted to end segregation, he had many people that were opposed to his views and wanted to kill him. He was thrown in jail and eventually assassinated but through it all he continued to persevere. This is what courage is all about. It’s about continuing to move forward against all odds.

You must have courage in order to be unstoppable.

3. Believe In Yourself

It will be very hard to be unstoppable if you don’t believe in yourself. In fact, it will be impossible. If you look at any of the most successful and innovative people in history they all had a tremendous amount of confidence in themselves.

If you want other to people to take you seriously and believe in your vision, how are they going to do that if you don’t even believe in yourself or your vision first?

You have to faith that your vision will come to fruition. Sometimes when you are first starting out a business or career, it is hard to see the end of the tunnel. Doing repetitive mundane work may feel pointless especially if you aren’t getting paid much yet or reaping any rewards.

But you have to keep pushing regardless. This is where faith comes in. You must have the faith that it will happen. Faith is the Belief in something that you Can’t See.

Truly believe in yourself and your vision and you will become unstoppable.

4. Be Purposeful

When you are dedicated to a passion of yours and something you truly love, you will feel pulled towards doing that thing everyday. You will wake up in the morning with a sense of purpose. You won’t have to watch motivational videos and listen to motivational music because you won’t need it. Your passion will ignite the drive within you to get the job done everyday.

1. Stay Focused on Your Goals

When you have a clear and defined vision of where you want to be in life and how you want to get there, you will be able to stay mentally sharp. When you have no vision and are confusion about your future, your mind will follow suit and you will find that your thoughts and actions will be scattered most of the time.

When you can learn to focus, your productivity will naturally improve as well. Always take some time aside to write down what your goals are and create a step by step plan to achieve them and this will help you.

2. Eat Healthy

Our brains are constantly working, they are responsible for our breathing, senses, heartbeat, and even work while we are sleeping.

It is safe to compare our brains to a high performance car. High performance cars operate at their best when they are filled up with premium fuel. However, if these cars get regular fuel and not premium fuel they will not run as efficiently and will soon start to malfunction — our brains are no different.

Studies have shown that diets high in refined sugar and fats can lead to impaired brain function. On the other hand, it’s been proven that diets high in vitamins, nutrients, and antioxidants are linked to higher brain function and better memory.

Fuel your brain with premium fuel instead of the regular fuel. Invest in your health by adopting healthy eating habits and you will be more mentally sharp.

3. Eliminate Bad Habits

It’s important to eliminate bad habits from your lifestyle such as smoking and drinking. These habits have a very negative impact on your productivity and mental sharpness. Studies have shown that smoking and drinking can lead to problems in the brain in the short and long term.

Shockingly many studies have shown that smoking over the long term can cause the cortex to thin which causes memory loss. The cortex is an outer layer of the brain that naturally thins over time, but the studies have shown that smoking accelerates that process!

Studies have also shown that drinking over long term can cause memory impairment, diminished brain size, inability to think creatively, memory loss, and loss of attention span.

Avoid bad habits and you will find that you are becoming a lot more mentally sharp! Avoid other bad habits which are time wasters and out you into a lazy state of mind such as over indulging in media entertainment and watching T.V.

4. Take More Massive Action

When you get caught up in worrying about the past or future you are stealing precious moments of alertness from yourself.

Dress for success. Your fashion and the clothes you wear may be one of the most important factors that will give you more confidence. The saying is true, when you look good you feel good. Don’t be afraid to look the part that you ultimately want to play, and be. Fake it until you make it.

2. Think Positively

Think positive. When you have negative thoughts running through your mind it will be hard to have a lot of confidence. Having high confidence comes from believing in yourself and looking at the brighter side of things. If you go through a tough time, don’t let it bring you down. Keep your head held high and you will improve your confidence.

3. Be Assertive

Be assertive with the way that you speak without sounding over aggressive. Try to avoid “uhms” and “ahs” from your speech and instead use a pause to emphasize a thought. When you speak with confidence and move with confidence you will feel your self-esteem rise.

4. Take Massive Action

Sometimes having confidence is more than just about our look and what you say. Sometimes the best was to increase your confidence is by simply taking action, and a lot of it. If you have a goal, then do what you say. Just do it. No excuses. When you have a track record with yourself of actually doing what you say, you will develop more confidence.

5. Be Precise in Your Actions

Body language can say a lot about you. Your posture, eye contact, and how you walk communicate whether or not you are a confident leader or not. Be mindful of slouching, or talking in a low tone of voice and instead stand with good posture and speak assertively. When people observe you behaving in this fashion, they will perceive you as more of a leader and you will also feel more confident and be more confident.

Begin the Process: Understand That Fear Is Just An Emotion

The first step to overcoming fear is to understand that it is just an emotion like happiness or sadness. This is good news. If you look into what neurolinguistic programming is it discusses how our brains react to different types of stimuli. What this shows us is that our emotions are created by our behavior patterns. For example, if your first boss was mean and screamed at you, for the rest of your life anytime you hear about a boss or have your own you will feel fearful and think that they are mean too. This goes for anything.

The truth is that we are in control of our own states. If you can learn what it is that triggers you to feel your fears than you can easily overcome it.

Here are the three (3) different types of triggers that are causing your fears:

1. Your Body Language

Your body language is a powerful thing. Many people think that body language is only important because it communicates a message to other people about how you are feeling – which is true – but it also is what controls how you feel on the inside.

I’m sure that if you imagine a time in your life that you felt really confident you will be able to realize that you were doing particular things with your body. Maybe your posture was a certain way, or your voice inflection changed, or maybe it was the types of faces you were making.

Now look back again into your past, imagine a time where you felt fearful and out of control – how was your body language then? Now compare the two – I’m sure they are much different!

The key take away from this is to remember the times that you felt confident and in control of your emotions and emulate that body language again. This will trigger your positive emotions and bring you back into that state. Not only will you look confident and not feel fearful, but you will feel confident as well.

2. Your Words

Language is a critical contributor to how you are feeling. What are you saying to yourself? Is your self-talk positive or is it negative?

If you are in front of a group of people and you are telling yourself that you are nervous because those people don’t like you and that those people are mean, then you will probably feel all of those emotions and create that circumstance for yourself.

However, if you tell yourself that you are confident and that all of those people will love you, then you will carry yourself differently and they will also react differently as well.

As you go on throughout your day, always encourage yourself with positive self talk. Use powerful words to describe yourself such as marvelous and brilliant. Take a mental note of all of the things you are doing good instead of all of the things you are doing bad. Master this and your feelings of fear will vanish.

3. What You Are Focusing On

What you focus on is what you will attract into your life. Our brains are capable of what is called mental imagery which is simply the images that we see in our mind. With practice we can learn to use this to our advantage.

However, if you focus on negative things then you will probably struggle with fear and insecurities.

For example, if you imagine your future and you focus on poverty, struggle, and loneliness then your mind will associate those images with you and you will create that for yourself in your life. Depression is one of the toughest things to go through in life. When you feel depressed you may feel as if there is no hope and that the pain will never end.

In today’s article, I am here to tell you that can end depression, and to tell you from my own personal experience that anybody can go from feeling depressed to feeling alive, happy, and full of life again.

So let’s begin with a brief discussion about depression and then I will give you 4 steps to help you overcome depression for good.

Medications Aren’t Always The Solution

Many people who have been struggling with depression believe that the only way to overcome depression is by taking medications. In many cases, if you have approached a professional about your depression then they probably have prescribed to you these medications.

However, medications may not always work. In many cases they can only be a short term solution until your body adapts to the drug and you need to take more and more pills.

Also, many studies have shown that medications can be useless. In an experiment, they took two control groups: one that was on medication, and another that wasn’t and managed to prove that medications don’t always work to fix depression.

So seek other solutions to fixing your depression such as the steps I will show you next.

How To Get Over Depression (4 Steps)

1. Understand That Depression Has an End

When you are in a state of depression one of the hardest things to do is actually believe that you will not feel like this forever. You may feel as if the depression will never end.

To fix this, you need to understand how depression works. Depression is merely a temporary emotion in our brain just like all of our other emotions. Do you remember the last time you were angry? How long did that last? I’m sure when you were angry nothing could change that state you were in but eventually it passed and your state changed back normal. This is how depression works too – it’s just a temporary emotion.

2. Avoid Hectic and Stressful Lifestyles (Life Style Habits)

We live in a society that places a high emphasis on materialism, money, and other shallow things. Many of us become a victim of trying to fit the mold and this can produce a lot of pressure on you. Maybe you’ve been looking at other people’s social media profiles and comparing your life to theirs.

Oftentimes, depression is just your body trying to signal to you that something in your life is wrong.

If you are overworking yourself or have some sort of career or profession that is making you miserable or that is just way to stressful, you need to highly consider alternative career paths. Money, nice things, and status is never worth sacrificing your own sanity.

Don’t feel the need to sacrifice your happiness and peace of mind just so you can be like someone on social media and T.V or to make a lot of money. Images can be deceiving and remember that celebrities you see are only posting and showing you the good parts about their lives!

3. Don’t Suppress Your Emotions

Depression is often the result of not expressing your feelings. Life can be very unfair and sometimes bad things happen that can be difficult to go through. If you are going through a tough time or aren’t being treated fairly by someone you need to speak up.

Don’t accept it. Talk to someone close about it, whether it’s a family member, friend, pastor, or a professional.

Regardless of who it is, express your feelings to someone. They may have a solution to your problem and at the very least it is a way for you to vent your feelings outwards. If you don’t vent, your pent up feelings can eventually build up and become unbearable and lead to depression or even worse a mental breakdown. Don’t let it get to this point – LET IT OUT!

4. Find Your Life Purpose

If you want to be successful and you don’t want to feel depressed you must find your life’s purpose. When you have something that you want to achieve – a mission in life – your life will become much more interesting and exciting to you.

When you don’t have something that makes you want to wake up in the morning it can make life seem pointless and before you know it you will find yourself in a cycle of going through life day by day allowing other things, circumstances, and people to dictate where your life goes and how you feel.

Find something you are passionate about and find your life’s purpose and it will help you refresh and create new excitement in your life.

Depression occurs for many reasons, most of the time it is because of something simple that you can change in your life. Understand that it is temporary just like any other emotion and can be fixed. Don’t always resort to medications immediately. Know that depression is your body trying to signal to you that you are not dong something right.
